ABOUT OUR CLASSES

All-Levels Jiu Jitsu (No Gi/MMA) w/ Coach Justin Zabroski — Mon & Wed 5:30–7:00 PM

Dive into our meticulously structured No-Gi program, designed to guide you through progressive levels and skill stages. Each session begins with a warm-up and roll-out, followed by technical instruction, and wraps with live rolling and time for Q&A. Students will be divided into groups depending on their skill level, or partnered with higher level student who can mentor them.

  • Beginner Level: Build a strong foundation through core techniques, essential movement patterns, safe training habits, and basic distance management.

  • Advanced Level: Elevate your game with our unique hybrid style—melding takedown-oriented, historical Japanese techniques with modern guard passing, sweeps, submissions (including leg locks), and integrated standing-to-ground transitions.

In addition, Coach Justin Zabroski, Judo Black Belt, teaches the vital connection between standing and ground phases in modern grappling using traditional judo and sambo techniques. Throughout our Jiu Jitsu classes he includes historical Judo techniques, including level changes, trips, throws, and momentum-based counters blended with modern submission grappling tools, and a distinctive fusion of Sambo-style dynamics and traditional Judo training methods for systematic, technical growth in BJJ and MMA contexts.

I’ve been training No-gi bjj here for just over 6 months and I wish I had started years ago. This gym has a great community. Coach Justin’s knowledge and love of teaching combine into a program where you can see real progress being made each week, for students of all levels. Wish I didn’t have to leave so soon.

IPFS No-Gi Jiu Jitsu Student & Competitor
I've been competing under Justin for coming up on 3 years this Fall, and not one thing that he has said has fallen short. The approach and strategy for this match was to try to get to a leg lock, being my opponent is a teenager and likely had no skill set in that realm. He was exactly right - when I went for the knee bar and switched to an ankle lock, she had no idea what to do, tried to go for her own ankle lock with a failed/terrible attempt. If you're not 100% sold with what he has to offer, it's really at your own demise. Take this as brown nosing but at the end of the day, real recognizes real. Lock in with the curriculum or you'll be turning your own wheels. It's your choice and your performance will speak for itself.
